The Missouri State Archives research room is open to in-person researchers. For your convenience and to expedite your research, appointments are available. To request an appointment email [email protected] or call (573) 751-3280. Research requests may also be submitted through our online request form or emailed to [email protected]. Researchers can temporarily submit up to three requests at a time.

Winter Hours (September to May)
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Second Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m.
Third Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Summer Hours (June to August)
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Second and Fourth Saturdays: 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m.

Location and Directions
The Missouri State Archives is part of the State Capitol complex and is located in the James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center. The Archives is two blocks west of the State Capitol on West Main Street. ( View Map )
Parking
Visitor parking is available at no charge in close vicinity to the building. Handicap parking is immediately in front of the building.
