Join us in celebrating Missouri through The Archives Excellent Adventure, the Missouri State Archives’ NEW interactive performance for third and fourth graders. The educational performances follow time traveler Anita Learn over 200 years into the past to share the stories of the earliest Missourians and European settlers; Missouri’s part in the American Civil War and both World Wars; and many people throughout Missouri’s history including Great Walker, Mark Twain, George Washington Carver and Virginia Minor..

  These 45 minute performances, sponsored by the Missouri Association for Museums and Archives and the Friends of the Missouri State Archives in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council and with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, will take place at the Missouri State Archives, a division of the Secretary of State’s office, in Jefferson City, just down the hill from the Capitol.  Performances and tours are free of charge.
